On the 20th of November, the 18th edition of the Erasmus Descartes Conference will take place digitally. The conference is a collective initiative from the French embassy in The Hague and the Dutch embassy in Paris. This years theme of the conference is “duurzame mode, duurzame materialen” (sustainable fashion, sustainable materials).
The goal of this conference is to exchange knowledge and connect Dutch and French companies, startups, young creatives, research institutes and public organisations - stimulating collaboration on various levels.
We are excited that Danielle Bruggeman is invited to join the panel 'Refuse & Rethink' to discuss sustainability in relation to fashion and identity. This panel conversation will take place during the opening-webinar on November 20th, from 9.30-12.00h. Other speakers in this panel are Rosanne van Miltenburg (Fashion for Good) and Frédérique Thureau (TCBL Foundation). The session will be moderator by Michiel Scheffer (Wageningen University & Research).
Please note that the conference will be held in French and Dutch with a simultaneous translation to either language.
In preparation for this virtual conference, the Dutch embassy in Paris published an interview with Danielle Bruggeman.
