We are excited to announce that Daniëlle Bruggeman is an invited speaker at Rio Ethical Fashion 2021 for a panel discussion on Friday June 4.
After a successful first edition in 2019, and the virtual second edition of 2020, this year's third edition of Rio Ethical Fashion will go virtual again.
Together with researcher and consultant in fashion sustainability Lilyan Berlim, Daniëlle Bruggeman will engage in a conversation about reconciling socio-environmental justice with fashion’s human dimension. The conversation appeals to the creative and imaginative power of fashion as a tool for building a resilient and inclusive future.
Daniëlle Bruggeman will start with introducing the book Dissolving the Ego of Fashion, after which she will have a dialogue with Lilyan Berlim about ‘dancing’ with the fashion system; the ethical dimension of the subjective identity; rhizomes, trees and hierarchies; and new materialism.
